5 manly game apps recommendations

1) Clash of Clans

I started playing this game about 6 months ago, I've never stopped playing ever since. One of my favourite app out there!! I highly recommend this app to anybody who is into cute games with nice graphics, anybody who likes building an empire, getting into a clan and raiding other online players' empire for gold and glory!

One of the many cute wallpaper.
With over 10million user downloads and rated 5 stars over 1.3million times. This app is is way above it's league!

2) Tower of saviors

Tower of Saviors (TOS) is a mobile game developed by Mad Head Limited, a Hong Kong-based company.
This game combines both puzzle rolling stones and card game together and mash it up in a RPG way, users get to acquire random cards ranging from the normal ones up to super rare cards by hunting down monsters along every level, or by using gemstones.

These cards can be used to form a team of 5, every team's got their very own ability and special skills (a team of God, a team of Beast, a team of Darkness, A team of Legendary Chinese Gods and many more) , which makes this game even more unique and one of it's very own kind!

Here's a wiki link to the complete guide for this game. Yes, TOS players do take their game seriously.

3) Max Axe (for iOs users only)

Sorry Android users, this game is not free on the Android play store. :'(. Howeverrr, i find this game cute and extremely addictive, the gameplay is really simple in a good way. Basically all you have to do is to swipe your fingers in a line to collect coins and beat down monsters along the path. Coins collected can be used to upgrade armors and weapons.

A simple, yet addictive game! >:)

4) Injustice

Ohhhh Injustice, being an app with a whoppin' size of 1.5GB, people tend to put their expectations way high above. Luckily, this app delivers. Injustice takes the form of a fighting game comparable to tekken and street fighter. Users need to swipe/tap continuously/tap when the line touches a certain point to perform combo attacks.

Besides the simple fighting game play, Injustice offers their user with a chance of getting rare character cards such as Superman and Batman cards through booster packs attainable through in-game currency.

5) Toilet time - A Bathroom Game

Time on the toilet has never been particularly amusing, until mobile devices!
For those of you dirty dirty people who loves the company of your phone/ipad during 'THAT Time of the day". Here's a perfect app for you.

Each round takes up only about a few minutes (Thank god not an hour or two) and the game play require users' fast reaction be it tapping or swiping the screen. An overall fun and exciting game for a good and well spent toilet time.

Prepare yourself for some time-wasting fun!

Top 5 goriest movie?

Being an avid fan of horror movie from a very young age. I find it hard to get quality horror movies which makes me wanna hide under the blanket or gory movie that makes me cringe in pain even showering hurts the skin after watching.

This will be my very simple list of top 5 goriest movie i'd recommend to every suckers out there.

1) Ichi the killer

Scene where Kakihara slices off the end of his tongue as an offering to the boss of Suzuki.
Ichi the killer, this movie is a pure example of Japanese being who they are, the japanese aren't afraid to show and say what exists deep inside our dark mind. This movie is anything but conservative. From tongue slicing to face tearing. This movie might just be one of the few movie i'd turn my head around just to avoid certain scenes.

Kakihara showing off some cool trick.
Ichi the killer in a nutshell :-
As the sadomasochistic (person who likes to inflict pain on other people and pain on themselves) yakuza enforcer Kakihara searches for his missing boss he comes across this guy Ichi, a repressed and psychotic killer who may be able to inflict levels of pain that Kakihara has only dreamed of.

Gore points : 4.8/5

2) Saw 3
Oh this is my favourite scene from the movie.
Yes, saw 3, not 1 not 2 not 4. Saw 3, i find this third installment of saw the goriest based on a few scene, mainly the scene where this guy is chained up in a closed up room with a timed nail bomb right in front of him. The only way to escape is to tear away those chains which are firmly pierced through his hands, legs, back and jaw, all 10 of them!

Another scene which adds up the gore points were the part where a black guy have his head and arms twisted 360 degrees in a rack trap.

Here are some of the list of deaths from the Saw series

http://horror.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_deaths_in_Saw_series

Gore points : 4/5

3) the Hostel
Hostel hostages.
The hostel is a horror movie which serves as a reminder for us about how scary and unpredictable the society can turn out to bee. I find the story line interesting and extremely viable with the society we live in nowadays. An overall well produced and directed movie by Eli Roth and crew. Extra marks for the gore!

Hostel in a nutshell :-
A story held right in the heart of Slovakia where the rich spends money to get a spot in the Hostel where they are provided with tools ranging from axes, surgery knifes, crossbows and shotguns for the purpose of torturing unknowing visitors and tourists who are held captive from a certain messed up organization.

Stay safe from those psychotic rich asses!

Gore points : 4/5

4) Midnight meat train
This picture pretty much sums up the entire movie
I've watched this movie a couple of times now, the last was only a week back with my fellow housemates. They wanted a gory movie, well, this turned out to be not gory enough for them, sighs.

midnight meat train in a nutshell :-
Midnight meat train is a fictional story about a photographer hunting down the butcher who catches the last train in the heart of New York city where he does his 'thing', killing innocent late commuter passengers with his, cleaning up their body and hang them upside down like what you'd see in a pork processing factory, except they're all humans ready to be eaten by the 'ancient aliens' living at the end of the subway line, way down in another dimension.

Gore points : 4.1/5

5) The hills have eyes

Handsome
Last but not least, the hills have eyes. The hills have eyes is somewhat similar to the other movie about distorted human being, 'The wrong turn". I don't know about you guys but i find being tortured and sliced up to pieces by savages' living in the desert can be pretty gory and they pretty much deserved to be in the top 5.

The hills have eyes in a nutshell :-
The hills have eyes is about a suburban American family who faces an unfortunate event where their caravan's tire gives up on them while on a road trip and they ended up having their ass stranded in the middle of the desert. Soon after, they slowly find out they're being stalked by a group of psychotic people in a very gory way far away from civilization.

Gore points : 4.4/5

5 reasons why i like 'The Journey' 一路有你

Synopsis via IMDB:
The Journey is a cross-continental story that explores the idea of culture, not just as tradition but as an expression of love. When Bee (Yew) returns to Malaysia for the first time in a decade - she introduces her conservative father Uncle Chuan (Lee) to her happy-go-lucky British fiance, Benji (Pfeiffer). With Benji's lack of cultural understanding and comprehension of Chinese traditions, Chuan opposes their marriage. Unexpected circumstances ensue, and Chuan relunctantly submits to their union, on the condition that their wedding adheres to Chinese tradition. Part of that tradition is that Chuan must invite all of his childhood friends personally. So the quintessential odd couple, Benji and Chuan, embark on a cross country adventure to deliver the invitations. Despite language barriers and initial hesitation from both parties, the two men come to realize that their priorities are essentially one and the same.

Reason number 1 :
A malaysian made movie, all actors and actresses, uncle and aunties are local malaysian in which some have little to zero experience in acting. About 70% of the actors and actresses are actually senior citizens and it really impressed me on how well this movie turn out to be despite not having trained movie actors and actresses in it.

Reason number 2 :
The ridiculously beautiful scenic view throughout the entire movie, the story start off with a scene from the very heights of Cameron highlands. The movie offers a series of quality local scenes from the start to the end. Props to the camera crew.

Reason number 3 :
The nostalgic feel the entire movie gives. Instead of  6 star hotels, casinos, tuxedo clad hitman and fancy cars most Hollywood produced movie have in it, 'The Journey' came in a rather down to earth manner, our everyday location such as those rundown budget motels, the early morning market streets, kampung village and the seaside. Even the main actor Benji drives a third-fourthhand ride from the 80s'.

Reason number 4 :
So much feel in the movie i find it hard to refrain those ninjas in me from cutting onions. Especially that one particular scene where the uncle dies and the whole uncle crew gather forces to help fulfill his lifelong wish. Damn i love and i hate these kind of movies.

Reason number 5 :
Happy ending! Most movie with the same genre tend to end with a death of one of the leading actors, sudden death of the aged old grandpa, the bedside talk and oh you know the usuals, but  im glad 'The journey' didnt fall for these same old tactic. A feel good movie is a good movie.

Im truly impressed with our country's advancement in the movie industry. Keep up the good job! :)

My thoughts on Flappy Bird.

Angry birds, The sliding Up and Down bird game (sorry cant rmb the name to this) and now Flappy bird.

This latest addition of bird game series is the pure definition of evil and frustrations.

I remember trying this app out for the first time in my room with my housemates while studying for the upcoming finals, took me 15 bloody minutes to get pass the 1st drainage obstacle, and another hour just to get past the score of 5. Damn this shit is hard.

Flappy bird messes with your mind, your ego and your emotions probably because the game looks plain retarded even a roasted pig with only 1 hoof left can play and do well in the game. As a grown up game savvy adult, i find this game extremely hurtful and it bruises the gaming ego of mine.

It is no wonder there are cases where little brother kills elder brother due to some jealousy issue over who got the higher score. True or not I find that news legit considering how frustrating this game can be at times.

Seal it up

Steamboat dinner for 3, ( 1st try ever ! )

Okay, nothing much here, just a simple life achievement from yours truly thanks to MaggiChickenStock and two other pretty chefs, p/s they did most of the job, i do the eating. x)

People often misunderstand steamboat dinner for being that huge feast served for a party of 10 people and above. Well it can be rather simple too.

For those other 1st timer newbies like me out there wanting to have some sort of a "homecooked" dinner.

All you need is a cooking pot, clean water, some ingredients and chicken stocks! Tomyam flavour, prawn flavour, spicy curry flavour, 'MA LA' flavour, you name it, the convenience store have it! :)

Ingredients :
1) Tomatoes tomatoes and more tomatoes! (I cant stress this enough cause tomatoes do make a HUGEEE difference in the success of this meal)
2) carrots
3) onions
4) cabbage
5) Meatballs prawnballs sausages etc etc
6) Pepper
7) Chicken stock

This picture pretty much sums everything up all in one.

A blur closed up version of the soaked up ingredients due to overcooking. Wahaha

Try this again next time? SURE.

DIY preserved rose in a jar

The title says it all,

as simple as it sound, uh well, it's really simple.

Things to prepare :
1) Dustbin worthy wilted flower bouquet.
2) A glass jar
3) Scissors
4) Marker Pen
5) Hairspray - Any hairspray

It's movie night with the lady and since we don't have much horror movie left in our stash, we decided it's time to do something about the roses i got for her during valentines.

Previously we came across this decent looking glass jar by TYPO while shopping in 1U.

-RM10- Clean cheap simple steady.

Stems and all other waste product. Feel free to throw these away.

Tools. A red permanent marker and a pair of scissors.
Okay okay, start start, first decapitate the head from the stem, cut out any limbs sticking out. Pick out any nice colourful flowers left on the bouquet.

Then slowly place everything on a piece of newspaper and spray the crap out of them, i used a Gatsby SuperHard hairspray for this purpose. This step is to ensure that those roses and leafs and flowers don't rot and stay "preserved".

Next, throw everything into the glass jar layer by layer, in my case i simply sort em' out by colours,

lavenders - roses - dried leafs - roses - more leafs - Big leaf with flat surface to cover up the top.

Finally, close the cover of the glass jar.

done.

More waste.

The end product. Looks decent aint it?
Was thinking of making this my facebook cover photo.
